SJCPF makes proactive investments in innovative solutions and best practices for improving the emotional and physical well-being of individuals in vulnerable communities. These are fund-directed investments and not open for traditional grant application process.

Examples of our Innovation Grants in 2018 include:

• Support for Project Kinship, a community-based organization utilizing trauma-informed care, restorative justice, and workforce development strategies to support people who were formerly incarcerated as they re-enter their communities.
• Support for Orange County Opportunity Initiative, a regional effort to increase access to legal services for immigrants needing administrative relief through coordination, civic engagement, and advocacy.
